There is growing unrest amongst urban youth as it relates to social injustice and religion. Many feel like the black church and the Christian faith has failed and does not relate because people with melanin in their skin aren’t represented as frequently and their issues often go ignored or lack adequate support. Dr. Umar Johnson is a leading voice in the Pan-American Resurgence amongst many people of color. In this video I provide an geographical, historical and scriptural response of the African contribution to philosophical, academic, social and theological engagement on a global scale and I put his “white Jesus money” in context.
